Who Wants To Come Over For A Drink?

Throughout the years, during my estate sale, garage sale, and flea market wanderings, I've collected many odds and ends that would nicely round out an at-home bar, but I never had the space or wherewithal to achieve such a thing. But an in-home bar is something I've always yearned for...something I've always seen as a sign of sophistication and a life of leisure.

Well I finally have a nice sized kitchen in my lovely new home, along with counter space to spare, and a little nook that was just screaming to be made into a retro bar. What I lack in expensive and well stocked liqueurs, I make up for in decanters, glasses and accouterments.

Somehow a drink tastes better when it's out of a fancy vintage glass.

Stay tuned for my future findings. I'm powerless when it comes to vintage glass and barware, so my collection is sure to grow!

Love the bar.

I feel like we pretty much have the same haircut now. That's what mine looks like if I curl the ends a bit. I'm loving it.

I do the same damn thing! I have a million bar, wine. martini, brandy glasses, etc.--I have to admit it's almost too much, but I love them so! I tend to drink out of very small glasses--I'm made fun of this for that (lovingly, of course :)). I haven't had time to read your blog lately, because I have a job, however, I thank you for keeping me cheery while in unemployment hell :)
This will be too much, but I've a had a few, so bear with me--I think you are one of the best things that has happened to the earth! I admire your style and enthusiasm. Yeah, I'm a little too drunk to be commenting :) Cheers!

Lee Ryan - It totally makes liquor taste better.

Diary - Yeah, mine curls under naturally, which can be a bit of a pain. But yay for a-line bobs!

Periodical - Yay for slightly tipsy blog comments! I do that all the time and then wonder what the hell I wrote when I wake up the next morning. Uhh, I guess we just fill up those adorably small glasses a few times too many.
Good luck with the unemployment! Try to enjoy it!

Georgia you don't write in here that often and it actually makes me sad.
