Guess what tonight was???! My very first drum lesson! My lovely and talented bff Micah is teaching me to play drums, he's even agreed to P Diddy a band for me once I get good enough. The lesson lasted about an hour an a half and by the end, we were totally "jamming", with him on the guitar and me "Meg White-ing" the drums...I even started to "improv" a little. It was so amazing! I've never "jammed" with anyone before...but to be honest, I've always known I'd be good on the drums, I just knew it. So I'm going to purchase a shitty little drum kit, and Micah has agreed to give me lessons every Thursday night. I really can't explain how happy I am about this.
After "practice" we went for dinner at Masa, which is my new favorite restaurant ever ever. We split a panini and a bottle of wine, the latter of which is obviously still affecting me. After dinner we drove around Los Feliz/Silver Lake in search of an It's It, which annoyingly seem to be nonexistent in Los Angeles. But to be honest, after the croissant bread pudding we shared at Masa, I didn't really need anymore sweets, as I'm trying to put off diabetes til I'm old and have already snagged me a husband(i'm kidding!, jeez).
I'm looking forward to this weekend...hanging out with Annie after work, then Dios Malos at the 6th Street warehouse later in the evening...Derby Dolls on Saturday night with Doug, followed by comedy-happenings at the Fuck-Yeah Fest...and Sunday?, I got nothing. Also, whoever commented to my last post as "anonymous", can you please give me a little hint as to who you are?, I hate/love secrets.
